READY, SET, BID!!! Some of you may have extensive experience with auctions and the concept of "bidding" to win item(s), while others may have none at all. That's where this information will come in handy! First... In order to place bids on the FRUITS website for our auctions you'll need to create an account. Don't worry, we will not bombard you will annoying emails. You will receive an opening "Greeting" email with a first time discount code, who wouldn't want that? They're also benefits to signing up: You can see all of your orders and keep track of your receipts and tracking numbers. You will, from time to time, receive the latest discount codes for a certain percentage off or a total dollar amount off your entire order. In the off-chance you need a refund for an out-of-stock item, or a return, signing up allows us to notify you in the case of these circumstances. In the case that you win an auction, you'll need to know when and how to pay for your order. You can find the current auctions running at any given time under the "Auctions" tab in the pull-down menu, the top bar on the main page, or at the bottom of the Homepage. Here are some of the simple rules of an auction: Placing a bid. You can place a one-time bid and be alerted to any outbidding (bids from other customers that are higher than your current bid), or you can set a max bid which will automatically re-bid for you in the event that you are outbid. This also means you can set your budget for that particular auction. Each auctioned item will have a start and end date/time which you will follow until the end of the auction. Some auctions may only last 3 days, while others may go on for two weeks. This will be noted on the auction page. Some merchandise may have a "reserve price" which means that customer bids must reach this price, or go above it, in order for the item to sell. Reserve prices protect us as a company from losing money on the item. At the same time, the base price we paid, which may very well be the reserve price, means that you could win merchandise from our store for way less than the in-store retail price. That's a great deal! Please bid responsibly. Placing bids is a binding contract. You are agreeing to pay a certain amount (plus taxes & shipping, unless you choose in-store pick-up for which you will still need to cover taxes). All sales are final, no returns or cancellations will be accepted. Failure to pay for a winning auction will result in ban from all future auctions. Auctioned merchandise will ship out (or be available for pick-up) just as quickly as any other item purchased from us…which is typically a day or less. We hardly ever take longer than two or three days to ship, and that’s usually due to a weekend or holiday causing courier closures. Please note that anyone caught intentionally raising the price on the auctions for the sole purpose of making an item costly and unaffordable will be banned from participating in future auctions.
